Medica Scientific
Medica Scientific is a robust mobile teaching simulation that puts students in charge of a virtual manufacturing company. Through game playing, students develop an advanced understanding of core operational concepts such as forecasting, labor management, batching and more.
This all encompassing Operations Management tool places students in a decision-making environment based on real-world business cases and allows them to advance their knowledge in a fun, engaging, and risk-free environment.
Professor Perks
Visual data Dashboards
Dashboards provide insights into how students are playing, including trends over time and decisions made. Detailed graphs show how teams are performing against their peers.
Push Notifications
Alert your students about game playing issues such as bottlenecks, cash shortages, or inventory concerns. You can also use push notifications to remind your students about important deadlines or a change in the syllabus.
ABILITY to Game Parameters
Manual vs Automatic: Choose if you want the game to advance automatically on the hour, or manually advance the simulation yourself playing and pausing only during classroom hours for example.
Custom Scenarios: You can choose from standard game playing levels easy, medium, or hard. If one of those three options doesn't fit your needs, you can create your own custom scenario and focus on the operational concepts that fit your class best.
Student Perks
Mobile
Being completely mobile means students can take the learning experience with them wherever they go, in and outside of the classroom. No computer labs nor bulky software is required!
Competitive
The game’s standings table shows teams how they rank against their peers, giving them a competitive push to surpass their classmates through strategy and precision in their decision-making.
Experiential Learning
Medica Scientific provides your students the opportunity to apply what they've been taught in class and solve real-world challenges.
